DARK EMPIRE: New Members Announced
June 27, 2008Guitarist Matt Moliti of the New Jersey-based thrash/prog/metal act DARK EMPIRE has issued the following update:
"I'm really pleased to announce that we can name the new drummer and bass player for DARK EMPIRE. Filling in the long vacant bass position is Randy Knecht, and taking up the drum position is Omar Davila. I was not expecting to find two musicians that fit the same vision and drive for DARK EMPIRE that I have, not to mention the immense talent that I would expect from anyone involved in this band, in such a short span of time. I guess that's how luck plays things out sometimes."
DARK EMPIRE's second album, "Humanity Dethroned", was mastered by Mikka Jussla at Finnvox Studios (CHILDREN OF BODOM, NIGHTWISH).
Formed by Matt Moliti (lead and rhythm guitars, death vocals) in 2004, DARK EMPIRE was created to be what in Moliti's eyes would be the epitome of the perfect metal band: thrashy riffs, blazing solos and aggressive yet melodic vocals, full of energy and emotion
Upcoming DARK EMPIRE shows with SUSPYRE and ODIN'S COURT:
Aug. 01 - New York, NY - The Knitting Factory (Old Office Room)
Aug. 02 - Allentown, PA - Crocodile Rock Caf
Aug. 03 - Springfield, VA - Jaxx Nightclub
